Plissé screen door 1600 mm

The plissé screen door is the patented original Japanese plissé screen door. The plissé screen door is characterised by a number of highly innovative applications in its design. For example, each wire of the insect screen mesh is reinforced at the folds to protect the mesh from tearing. This makes the mesh last longer.

You can open this pleated screen door at any position without the screen door flipping open to the side as soon as you let go of the screen door. The screen door has no threshold, but a flat bottom strip that is only a few millimetres high and therefore does not obstruct the passage (also suitable for wheelchair users). The pleated screen door has a sturdy plastic track chain at the bottom and top that moves the screen door back and forth.

Because the mesh folds ('pleats'), in contrast to a roller screen door, there is no tension on the mesh. If someone accidentally pushes against the mesh, it is therefore less likely to tear. In that case, you can simply push the mesh back into the pleat.
