Selve Solar Kit
The SE Solar-com solar tube motor offers entirely new possibilities. This tube motor generates its own power via a solar panel and stores it in a powerful battery. As no power cables need to be run to the Roller shutter, installation is easy.
Tube motors are normally powered by 230 V mains. When Roller shutters are retrofitted in a place without mains wiring, installation is usually time-consuming and complicated. With the SE Solar-com, complicated installation is a thing of the past. This also applies to new buildings, saving time and money.
The SE Solar-com is suitable for all residential roller shutters. The solar panel is mounted on the box or facade and can be glued, screwed or popped. Additional mounting materials can be used to align the panel optimally to the sun. The tubular motor is easily controlled via a Selve Commeo Handheld transmitter and can be quickly and easily integrated into SELVE Home, our smart home system.
How it works
The solar panel charges the high-quality nickel-metal hydride battery and powers the tube motor. Roller shutters can also be operated at night, in winter or on cloudy days with low sunlight. A 5-level charge status indicator on the commeo Multi Send handheld transmitter shows the current battery charge level.
The battery can also be charged manually if the external charging plug is installed in the guide rail. In addition, it is possible to connect a second solar panel to increase the energy yield.
Another key advantage of the SE Solar-com tubular motor is its adjustable speed, which also helps minimise noise during operation. In silent mode, the Roller shutter is virtually silent.
