Hormann 3-fold spring package for up-and-over doors

The individual spring windings have such a minimum distance that limbs cannot fit through them, making them extremely safe.
Hörmann's spring packages are numbered, making it easy to select the right package. Spring packages ensure that the heavy door is continuously balanced. They are essential and must always be functional. In the event of a defective spring package, the other, still intact spring package can apply so much force to keep the up-and-over door independent and prevent a fall. In such a case, however, the full functionality of the overhead door cannot be guaranteed. The defective spring package should therefore be replaced with a suitable replacement Part/Component as soon as possible.

We recommend always replacing both springs to restore optimum balance in the door. The older spring is already pre-stretched and therefore yields faster than the new spring. In this case, too much weight is placed on the new spring and it can quickly break again. Therefore, always replace both springs of the up-and-over door.
